Driver side mirrors on 246 GT L series?

Driver side mirror on the 246 GT L Dino series? Were any of the 246 L series imported into the US? I'm purchasing a early L and saw that there weren't any driver side mirrors. If the car didn't have the mirrors when it was imported to the US, I suspect that I shouldn't add them later. Incidently, the side doors are aluminum.

I have an early L, 00462, and it has no external mirrors; makes for somewhat exciting driving on the freeway (!) though I usually only do this with a spotter/passenger. Don't believe any L's were made for the US market; Freeman or TS, correct me if that's not correct. Would love to hear the detalis on your car- SN, condition, etc. Bob K.

Thanks for the information! The car is # 00818. It's the car that is currently in the Ferrari Market letter for sale. I don't know anything about dino's but I'm really excited about this car. I really wanted an "L" series with the knock-off wheels and this car seemed like a perfect fit.
I'm hopeful to get the car to Southern California in next month and I'll try to post pictures.

If you do add a mirror, they install with an attaching plate on the interior of the door which then attaches to the door. Mounting the mirror directly to an aluminum skin could be tricky.
