My car..3005 F430 spider... drivers door glass seems not be sitting flush against the weather stripping.. the very rear of the glass seems that it needs to go further back a little.. I get a lot of air noise when driving, also get a little water leaking from the top of the window ... has any one needed to adjust their windows? Is it difficult to get done.. can it be done?

If its the same as the 360, you need to open the door and the adjustment areas for height and angle are there. Pretty common issue.

Did rob try to adjust? He is going to heat the rubber on mine cause the window was already adjusted as much as it could go.

Ask him to see what he can do. He is going to try something with mine.. Right now I can't drive in the rain. It pours in.. Not good. Only on drivers. He is going to try to heat the rubber as the window was adjusted as far out as it can go.

I have to see him tomorrow, he serviced my car, but I have a few questions about what he did, and he also raised the car up in the front for me, but a little more then I had asked, so I want him to lower it about an half inch... fun fun... lol

I had the exact same problem, told I needed to replace the whole window mechanism.

Yes, I will be replacing it very shortly. But I feel the dealership exaggerated with this, there should be some way to adjust the window. They claimed that if the window is out of place, the mechanism would just have to be replaced. I must add that my window was so out of place that there was a visible opening from the rear of the glass, yet it was relatively small.

Got you. It's difficult to get the height right cause it's up on a lift.. He had to adjust mine twice.

If you have the same issue as me I can't imagine having to replace a window mechanism..

The Svc on mine was all filters, plugs, all fluid flush. And mine needed the valve gasket seals. I'm picking mine up this evening I hope.

The mechanism is a scissor mechanism that raises and lowers the window. if the arms and/or central pivot gets bent then you have to replace it. until then you can adjust it. it's the 10mm nut on the metal cross member needs to be lowered downward a tad. the window frame has two bolts that hold the window to the mechanism, these can be moved backwards if needed and the whole mechanism has small adjustments (if like 360). How much are they charging for a new window regulator? ;)

I have a similar issue on my F430. Anyone know if adjustment is the same as a 360?

The car is a spider so the rubber seal (part of the top mech) gets warped with sun... I don't think the window lift is bad. On mine it's clearly the seal. It's in one spot about 3 mm

Same issue with my F430 spider with a gap at the rear of the window. The dealer quoted me $2500 to replace the window regulator. That seems crazy!
