Driver's Drive 11-03-07

Hey, Prancing Horse.

Stephanie and I enjoyed the Driver's Drive today -- I think this drive was one of the most challenging for me. Thanks, so much, for setting up another great drive and for the pictures -- it's amazing that you are able to drive and keep your hand steady to get these great shots!

Stephanie: I introduced you to your first Driver's Drive...amazing -- yes? Riding Raman's Lambo G is a pretty cool experience. For the next drive, you will drive my Ferrari for part of the way, as we discussed today -- don't worry, we will stay at the back of the pack when you take the stick. So, get practicing on your stick shift. (I created an F-Chat account for you; your call sign is Miles.)

Drivers: Thanks for welcoming Stephanie to the drive today -- many thanks to you, Raman, for letting her ride in your Lambo -- she totally digs it!

AlexD and Kevin: Thanks for shooting us and making us look super duper cool.

Spider Guy: Where were you? We all missed you again! I thought you mentioned that you would be at this drive when we talked on the phone.

Looks like I missed out on a great drive; what a beautiful day for cruising. I was out of town test driving my new toy!

Good meeting you and Kenny at the drive! Your G is incredible. Very tastefully modded! You should definetely take the TT on the next drive, it truely is an amazing car... especially modded (hint hint) Let me know if you need some suggestions on what to give her.

It was good seeing everyone at the drive especially Mike and Josh, its been a while since I've gone on a drive with you guys.

Another spectacular day for a spectacular drive. Those roads are the most chalanging I've drivin to date. I think I could have pushed it a little harder and come up a bit, but with it being Ediths first trip I don't think it was the appropriate time. I'm slowly building more confidence with the car and with a familiar and safe road I should be able to coax more out her in the turns. Taking my hand off the wheel to down shift going into a corner is still an uneasy feeling as the weight tranfer while applying power definately wants to slide the back end a bit. I don't mind the stop and go for the sake of pictures but it definately breaks concentration and takes me a bit to get back into the groove. I'm going to have to get an ear piece or head set as I can't hear a darn thing over the noise of the engine and wind. Where did Mark go in the 930??? Can't wait for the next drive, and hopefully the weather holds.

 

Killer vid, Lyndon. Looks like I missed a good one. I've got a small engine quirk right now. Hope to resolve issue by the weekend. Hope that I can avail the mapmaker's talents before the end of the season =^)

 

Thanks, Rotus. I want Stephanie to complete her driving lesson with Bryan -- I definitely don't want to put your car in the hands of an inexperienced exotic enthusiast -- capisce? ;-)

Your car sounds amazing -- when you and Stephanie did a fly-by my car on the freeway, you blew my left ear drum out -- hell, it was well worth it -- Stephanie had the biggest smile on her face!

You look great as always; and, it was a pleasure seeing you and Kenny on the drive. Lambo's lookin' great.

I'm sure you would be able to keep up on your TT -- it's not always about horsepower on these drives -- it's about technique ;-) -- I learned that on my drive with Bryan (Yellow Diablo VT Roadster) today, 4-November-07, up by Alice's -- he took my 328GTS and showed me only a quarter of what my 328 can do on these drives -- that quarter was more than I ever did with her, so I was amazed and looking forward to seeing him drive her at 100%; so, my point is that I'm sure you would be able to keep up in your TT. ;-)

It was great seeing you and meeting Edith. Funny that she and I are equestrians, so it was really great to be able to horse-talk with her -- we, should do a ride sometime at her barn or my barn.

I'm in the same boat as you with learning the performance envelope of my car. In fact, Bryan, the yellow Diablo Roadster VT driver came to my house today, 4-November-07, to evaluate my car's handling and performance; hence, we went on a Milk Run up by Alice's, and I was amazed with all the things he did with my car on those turns -- I did not realize the performance of my 328GTS -- amazing.

Stephanie and I are going to take driving lessons with him on 3-December-07. Tuesday, 6-November-07, he is going to pick up my car and upgrade my exhaust, cold air-intake system, and air filter box.

Looking forward to seeing you and Edith at the next drive.

Prancing Horse put together another amazing drive; and, this was probably the most difficult for me; so, I would definitely like to do this one again -- hope you would make it.

You're killin' me. I was wondering about you -- I even asked Prancing Horse about you -- I'm definitely not feeling the love from you anymore -- one drive is all you did with me -- gitty-up, man! ;-)
