I can see Tsunoda knowing before summer he is being replaced. Much like Mick, not showing much growth overall. If de Vries is strong that will amplify Tsunoda weakness overall.

Tost: Tsunoda must do better job this year in F1
Yuki Tsunoda has been told by his AlphaTauri Formula 1 team boss Franz Tost that he has to score a lot more points this season.

Norris made the wrong call when he had pen in hand.

Money and a good sales 'pitch' from Zak = long term terrible deal for talented driver. He probably had a manager pushing him as well. F1 - money talks. Others pay.

lando only has 2 other options...merc if crapilton leaves, or Ferrari if Crapilton leaves and Charles decides to take his place.

And let's face it, should Charles go...God forbid, Lando would be the only decent option left!

If Leclerc leaves because the car is crap, then Giovinazzi will be alright to replace him. :D

Let’s see how the MB is as all the YouTubers are claiming massive sandbags and upgrades are on the way…If the MB remains 3rd fastest then Hammy retires opening up a myriad of possibilities for the rest of the field.

I'm curious about Otmar's replacement as well now too. Odd to start the departure announcements before the silly season even started.

I'm going away to enjoy the summer break. Back at FP1 to see what's changed.

I would like to see him at one of the top teams, hopefully there are some escape clauses for him.

Apparently there is an option for Leclerc to stay at Ferrari until 2028 ?

I cannot understand why drivers sign such long term contracts.

Leclerc may have already been eclipsed by a younger driver. His time at Ferrari are lost years he can never get back. His legacy so far is failure. But Piastri is getting more attention driving a lesser car. Red Bull is now showing more interest in him than in Leclerc or Norris.

Sergio Perez set for pay deduction as a result of season performance
According to De Telegraaf, there is a clause in Perez’s deal that states if he falls 125 points or more behind team-mate Verstappen then Red Bull have the option of downgrading his multi-million dollar deal.

Perez’s current deal is reportedly around €7m with a bonus €3m but both of these values may be cut as Perez is exactly 125 points behind Verstappen heading into the summer break.

Reportedly Red Bull can trigger this clause this month but it is not expected to change the length of the deal which runs until the end of 2024.

De Telegraaf also reports that Red Bull did not respond to questions about the content of contracts.

    Interesting!

I didn’t know Red Bull, or any constructor, could do such a thing.

Not sure Checho Perez is going to like it.

Any word on how much does it change for him?
