While I feel like the FIA should honour this request, I can't imagine the crazy grids we might end up with if we have the back markers accidentally blocking the track!

Lets have a second division for all the slugs, we could have a separate race even ! Race them on Sunday morning, put down some good rubber for the real cars !

Utter bollocks ... once they are in Q2 there are less cars anyway. Heck if the good teams can't easily get in to Q2 then they have bigger issues than traffic.

Well, we've all seen the "frontrunners" not make it into Q2 this season. I think all those guys need to shut up and drive.

It may even be "entertaining"..... Some will B&M about "traffic", others will revel in a clear lap. Bring it on!

    Cheers,

Ok, so split Q1 into two 10 minute sessions. Q1a is the top 13 in points, Q1b is bottom 13 in points. Drop the slowest 8 out of the combined Q1 sessions, run the rest of qualifying as normal.

Well maybe they shouldn't wait until the last two seconds of a 15 minute session to got out and qualify. They have plenty of time to go out. But no they want to wait until the very last second before they try to qualify. Why not just go out early and blast off a really fast lap? I say tough nuts. They have unlimited times to go out with in those 15 minutes, and if they can't qualify with in that time, then oh well.

Well, we could have two or three groups, and the top five from each group then qualify together for the "fast five", ....

(They've copied almost everything else from Indycar.)
