I was just curious with how hard people with these cars drive. I don't mean dropping the clutch at every light. I mean on the run, is it ok to take it to 6000-7000 rpm. All I hear is that it is a free high reving motor, but do owners of this car actually change gears reving the motor up to say 6500 rpm?

I occasionally drive mine on the track where it spend most of it's time in the 6-7K range. For aggressive driving on say a twisty back road, mostly in the 4-6K range. For normal driving, mostly in the 3-5K range.

When you're on a nice road, sure. The V8's not a quiet motor though, so taking it to 5000 or so in traffic is something you share with everyone else! Folks can think you are trying to blow someone off, so I generally keep it down in town.
