Just bought a Ferrari F355 spider this week. I'm in Westerly, RI and the car is out in Denver Colorady, so I'm planning to fly to Denver on this Saturday and than drive the car home.

The car just had it's belts and other things done by Dave Helms a couple months ago at 35K miles. I chatted to Dave about the car, so that inspired some confidence that it will make it without needing roadside repairs.

My route will most likely be: Colorado, Nebraska, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, Connecticut, Rhode Island, but considering also stopping in South Dakota to take a look at mount Rushmore.

    What do you think?

    What are good highways?

    - Never been out west past Wisconsin.

No, ended up taking I70 through Kansas and Missouri instead of going the northern route

Congratulations of the purchase and the wonderful (and uneventful) drive back to the east coast. We look forward to hearing from you on the forum as you continue to bond with your car.

Congratulations! Sorry I missed this thread while you were on the road; even though you weren't going through this way, I could have given you support.

Earlier this year, I bought a 355 Spider that hadn't had a belt service in over 7 years, and drove it from Florida to Texas. Drove wonderfully the entire way, not a single hiccup. I really bonded with that car. The 355 is a lot tougher than people give them credit for.
