Same I grew up swimming in the family pool from around 4/5 years of age ,Yarra river lapping onto the bottom paddock at the farm or surfing down the coast .

I think today I cracked 40 mins for 2kms in the pool I think at 12.07 out at 12.45 ! Been swimming every day for over a month and just getting stronger and faster over more laps Today in Melbourne it was around 12.5c in the pool 25c?
TBH I tried it ,I'd prefer to keep doing what I'm doing .Its to hard in the pool I swim in as its crowded at times .
