Those of you from NJ, how where when and why do you drive your Fcar. Do you use it as a daily driver, or only on weekends. If it is a weekend car, do you take it on long drives and where do you go. Do you use it to go to the store or just put the pedal to the floor. Just curious to see how you guys use your rides.
My 308 is not a daily driver, but I do drive it as much as possible to the tune of 5-8K/year. As to where to go? Anywhere! Anybody up for a drive to WWoC or Classic Coach for a visit? I'll be taking it out to a wedding on LI this weekend just because. Live it, Love it, drive it!
Thats great you can put that kind of use on the car, I am trying to use it whenever I can, however, as you know the weather lately just blows.
Hey Clyde I'd love to make a run to CC with you, I haven't been their in a few months. I'm not around this weekend, but during the week sounds good.
Sorry...forgot to answer the question! 1. My first Ferrari I drove everywhere I could, in fact when I didn't, I had severe withdrawl. 2. My second Ferrari I TRIED to drive less, but still drove it to work at least 2-3 times a week. 3. My third Ferrari was meant to be last year's summer project. It drives sweet now, but I don't take it to work, just for "drives", meaning that I use it just for the driving experience itself, not as a means to some practical end. I find that this limited use is what maintains my interest in the car and keeps me from fiddling with the engine every other day.
Mine is my "Daily Driver", I go everywhere in it. I love it!!!! Starting next week, I will be doing a 60 mile commute, each way, to work four days a week.
I drove my NSX to work today and for the first time I really didnt 100% enjoy it. Started out on Rt 18 (construction and rough surfaces), then onto 287 (better but unfortunatly the same ****). Its tough to drive in NJ,I wish I lived in Cali. I think during my 25 minute commute, I was able to open it up for about 5 minutes without having to steer clear of something.
Never bring my car to work. Dont trust the area or the clientele and some of the employees. Also, don't care to flaunt a nicer car then some of the bosses. Puts the smell of PAY CUT in the air.
I lived in the Bay Area for 3 years -- has to be some of the most beautiful driving in the US... Area around Marin county, Napa, the PCH (Pacific Coast Highway), Monterrey, Carmel, etc... Had an Alfa spider at the time, couldn't get enough of those roads... Would LOVE to take the Fcar there some day... (LA -- Well, that's a different story.)
