After owning my car for two months (2010 Italia - 7K miles), I love the sound so much that I find myself driving in the race mode quite a bit. Is there any downside to drive in the race mode from reliability stand point?

    Any feedback is appreciated.

I don't think there is downside other than increased wearing out of the tires! I also make sure she's properly warmed up before going into race or driving hard in general.

    No actual downside.

I might suggest monitoring the vehicle dynamic's screen and waiting till all systems have gone to green before getting into it.

With this said, you also have the option of installing an OEM Sport exhaust, which when being driven add's that " Sport " sound without having to actually drive in Sport mode.

    Just a thought..

    Either way, enjoy!

Same here- that is what Ferrari is all about.

If I wanted to drive in Sport or Wet mode, I would have taken the daily driver...

Regarding this (which I agree with) - how silly is it that the full VDA (tyre/brake/engine temp display) isn't available in sport mode?!?

If you are all about sound (like me), there is a better way : Get Ferrari dealer to bypass the valve. This way, the sound will be always loud in any mode. It's not louder on high rpm, but it makes your car very loud on low rpm, makes the city driving sounds like track driving. And the low rpm downshifts sound like gun shots all the time.

I wait for tires and engine to warm up, and then switch nearly always to race mode. If raining, I use bumpy mode.

99% in Race mode. Wet mode when it is raining or wet OR when I get a phone call using the hands free feature. Wet is the quietest mode.

99% of the time in CT-Off.

I learned to drive performance cars in a Dodge Viper at Sebring and Daytona. I like to be the one controlling when the back wheels spin. I also like to drift / fishtail a little here and there. CT-Off is just traction control (not stability) which I hate in all cars.
