I decide to take my GT4 to work today. On the 210 Freeway, in extreme conditions... like rush hour traffic - into work and back home. This morning, not even one hiccup from the carbs. (Of course not - Eugenio's just finished an extensive rebuild of carbs, brake system, and cooling system).
But the real "trial by fire" (almost literally), was the commute home after 3:30PM. My "little Dino" ran like a champ - the water temp eventually moved to the half way point between the 90C and 120C marks and stayed there.

Well, the moral to my story. Take a 308 GT4, and the time to make sure everything works like it's suppose to - then don't be afraid to drive.

Man you got some nads. I wish I could trust mine in these three digit temps up here, but it needs some sorting out first. :(

    Thumbs up to you.

    Hi Joseph

Aren't they great? Once the overdue service and neglected bits are sorted out, they just keep on ticking. Interestingly, they require no super coolant, hi flow water pumps, fancy fans. Just the original equipment working properly.

    Gotta love the 308GT4's

    Gerrit.

i noticed my Dino runs much cooler than my GTB, i swear its got to be the big vent in the hood that the GTB doesnt have , but was added to the QV's later.

maybe that 355 owner should consider "trading up" for an "older" car. :)

I've noticed that cars with an oil radiator seem to have fewer overheating problems than those without.

Does the 308 GTB/S have an oil cooler like the GT4?
