I wanted to enter a post about driving impressions of my Dino, as most of you know I bought my first dino a few weeks ago a 1972 246 GT and this is my driving impressions after about 3 or 4 weeks and maybe 500 miles of driving. Now for comparisons I have a 550 and a california along with several high performance Corvettes from the early 60s to 2013 AND others as a point of comparison . THis is the first Mid engine car I have owned but most importantly the HP rating on this car is by far the lowest of any car I own .
SO what do I think: this car is more fun to drive then anything I own I have plenty of power I mostly keep it at 5000 rpm and above I feel like I am driving a race car every day on my drive to work and home . I plan a route that gives me the opportunity to exploit the interstate exits at 9/10 most mornings I actually get on the interstate then loop an exit so I can get of and back on with out any issues with traffic etc. I do all of this and barely exceed 70 miles an hour. since the car sits so low I feel like the car moving much faster. I have noticed an occasional fuel starvation during very hard corning but not much else to complain about.. YOu Dino owners have the best kept secret around I find that I just can't resist driving the car and the more I drive it the better it runs .
So those of you that are monitoring this forum to consider buying a Dino it is well worth the cost and will give you more fun then you can imagine.

I would say that is one of the best things about driving a Dino. You can act like a F1 driver but not constantly get speeding tickets.

What it lacks in raw speed it makes up in personality.

Exactly-- and don't forget looks / design. The car is drop-dead gorgeous and is a joy to behold every time you go into the garage.

Have you noticed if that happens with cornering to the right? Fuel starvation with cornering to the left is normal for a Dino and is a function of the DCNF carbs.

I will have to see if it is left or right It is very minor and occurs on my F1 style freeway entrance ramps I have a couple that turn about 120 degrees so it is lots of fun. but minor issue.

Yes that is exactly right. I can live with it but like I say a minor issue.
I also was able to get the drivers for window to speed on in raising by taking it apart spraying 226 electrical conductor spray on the wire connectors to increase conductivity , installing a new battery and lubricating all the rollers and slides .... works pretty good now. I was pleased to say the inside of the doors looked very good with appreciable Rust a little light surface rust in a couple of spots but nothing of any concern... Now the windows while not like a new car work pretty good.
