So glad you and yours brought 002 from vestige to prestige.

 

Interesting - is that a painting based on a photograph, or a photograph made to look like a painting?

That is so excellent. Driving a car of that vintage on a regular road.

I've always wondered though if bugs/insects are an issue...

 

I still recall a CarToon from the greatest magazine of my youth, CarToons . . .

Guy on a Chopper next to a woman with a butterfly net.

Them's hardly regular roads. That's bravery right there.

And, yes, I suppose a few bugs died along the way.

 

I believe he is using a period correct helmet, that has a visor with a bit of windscreen protection, as period photos of Mike Hawthorne sometimes show.

 

I agree with that, there's potholes in those roads that would throw a minivan over the rail!!
