The Oakleys were designed by and for JPM. Pretty nice actually. The Pumas are nice as well.

Oakley stuff is normally very good, though I haven’t tried those. I’ve used sparco shoes over the years, found them a little narrow (handy in tight foot wells though), but they do allow great feel for the pedals. They did tend to only last a season due to rubbing on cabling and rough edges of the car etc. shouldn't be a problem in a road car if that's the application.

I generally use Pumas for the street or daily driving. On those rare occasions I get to race, I have a pair or Diadorras that I love.

    I own those Oakley shoes.

I like them. The soles are supportive, but still give decent pedal feel. They are cut close enough that they work well even with closely spaced pedals. They have a CarbonX lining that provides superior fire protection.
Construction quality seems excellent, and mine have been wearing well.

If they fit your feet, you will probably like them.

I found a pair of Addidas shoes at the local sporting goods store. I don't know what they are I suppose they are track shoes or wrestling shoes. The soles are one layer of rubber and boy do they provide good feel on the pedals. However I can't wear them when racing as they are made of nylon. For racing I bought G-Force mid-high. Because I am quite frugal and I liked the G-Force price.

I have Simpson racing shoes for when I want to really focus on heel/toe. Otherwise I use a $30 Champion branded driving shoe.

the pumas are cool and they come in tons of different colors. I use those for daily driving the boxster s. sometimes i wear shorts and that means low tops only.

Ive been looking at pilotis. I can get a decent price on them but what are peoples opinions on them?
