As you know, dealer can get you a replacement.

Carl (FBB) documented a fix. You'll find with search.

How do I find Dave to help me repair mine? The referenced tread is a couple of years old.

    Hi All,

If nobody has messed around with it before I can probably repair it. I remove the broken plastic sleeve and replace it with an aluminum piece bonded with Loctite 620. I've used Loctite 620 to repair a golf club when the head came off so I know it's strong enough. Usually I can get the broken plastic piece out without cutting the stitching. It all depends on where it broke. I've done about a dozen so far with 100% success.

Turnaround is usually 1-2 days. The cost is $100. PM me for shipping information.

    Dave
