My girlfriend organised an experience for me to drive an lp640 e-gear as an early birthday present as it was the only time she could get it for and wow!!what a car, that things AMAZING!! its just a huuuge thing to drive, it jsut felt like an absolute monster, like you want to mow down everything on the road i felt i had to shout to the passenger because he seemed so far away and the feeling in the cockpit is like being in a plane its just incredible, unfortunately to limit my speed i was told to shift at 5500 rpm so unfortunately didn't get to redline it and only managed to get to 140mph but what an experience, strange thing is though, ive always thought as long as the drive is good i dont care how impractical the car is id still have it as an only car but ive gotta say it was slightly impractical and my cars not all that practical and i drive that every day but i don't think i could drive an lp640 ever day, ther'd be some days where id think i just wanted a normal car. Those downshifts though are sooo addictive you just want to keep downshifting over and over. Was funny at one point i asked the guy if he ever got to take the cars home that they had there and he replied "i should hope so, they're all mine"!! they had an awesome collection, lp640, old murci, gallardo 360, 430, impreza sti's evo's, few track cars. A friend of mine also drove a 430 recently as a present as well but he couldnt really care less about cars and when i asked him what it was like he just said "its bigger to drive than my renult clio" !! what a comment, lol anyways jsut thought id share my experience of the lp640 with you guys.

haha, not sure how much it cost but its not that expensive really and you get to drive a few other cars first round the track and they give you some driver training to prep you for the lp640. Tis alota fun.

    Good for you Chris.
I know we share a few things in common ;).
I had as much fun taking out a 348 and a 355. Never driven an LP,Murcie etc, but did manage a little stint in Muira some years back and that was phenominal

Too bad you had to down shift at 5500rpm, I would have been awesome to take the pedal to the metal.

yer it was a bit of a shame, i had to upshift at 5500 the downshifting was just for corners, i reckon they do that to limit your speed or maybe just so the cars don't get thrashed, was tempting to go over but the guy in the car with me wasn't all that cheerful so i thought best not.
