    The long way home
At one point, the car went from showing 10,000km to only 8,500km? Typo or other explanation?

Happens more and more with the modern cars! Ask the dealers and the owners...........cars are probably driven backwards........Am sure you know what I mean!

Great pics! Could you post the hi-res versions of the ones next to the stone wall? The shot of your 575 alone next to the stone also looks great!

Andrew, the pedals are seriously offset, the throttle is roughly level with the centre line of the car!, driving position is better than I remember in my 328 with less of the need for 'Gorilla ' arms, seats are good with lots of support, rear view is OK, not bad at all really!

Overall it was fantastic and clearly way ahead of it's time in terms of performance, it was surpisingly driveable with no real vices (although I understand the kick from the turbo's has to be respected in the wet :)

IMHO one of the most beautiful Ferraris ever made :)

    Mark,

Thank you! It must've been an amazing driving experience. Two of the most beautiful F-cars ever imo. The F-cars being transported by rail are very cool shots!

you are right :) it was a term I learned from Richard Colton (sp?) who describes himself as the custodian of one of the 250 SWB's (1995GT I think)

Was quite suprised when it pulled up right next to my GT Comp. at Goodwood! Looked like a nice example that gets driven and not a garage queen. Superb.

Mark, this must have been a great experience. The 288 is truly one of the best Ferrari's in the world IMO. This was definetly a chance of a lifetime. Thanks for sharing your experience.
