Hi Guys I have ordered a 599 black with silver roof and cuccio leather. A old time favorite classic combination. The thing is when I finally got the price for the dual colours, Ferrari charged me 23,000 swiss francs! To paint a roof a different colour, anyways looking forward to it, I think it will look fabulous. Will post pics as soon as I pick it up. Take it easy Mike

holy cr*p!!!!!! sure, if you have the funds, more power to you, but that is almost $20k us dollars to paint the roof a different color. i love the look of the two tone. i am amazed that ferrari actually had the gall to throw out a number like that. that is crazy. forget about what you can/will pay for a factory delivered two tone car watching the paint facility, i am guessing they spray the car without the roof color and then tape and respray the roof the secondary color. clearly a good amount of work, but still, give me a break.....$20k??????
I saw a car that has the roof done in silver using a film, apparently a german company specializes in producing some kind of film that can change the color of your car or parts of it by applying it to the painted panels and can be removed with no damage to the paint. It looks like paints and virtually undetectable. There was a picture of a chrome 599 floating on F-chat which was done using the same technology. I actualy saw the chromed 599 on the road and thought it was a stripped paint less finish, but I couldn't figure out how the bumpers where the same finish? my dealer who services that car as well, told me it was done in Dubai by a german company using a chrome film. the cost is estimated at 8000 Euros for the entire car. so yes 20K USD is steep for a roof spray. Even at Maranello.

Heh The car was ordered form Niki in Basle (excellent dealer). The delivery date was a september/October build and I am being told that it is due early November. Lets see! Wanted to order another one to one F599 in matt black for my brother but factory are saying they cant do it. Will have to sent it to Hamman afterwards for painting full kit and wheels. Thanks Mike
