    the goverment installed a speed bump where locals used to speed ,

    i think its funny that a bunch of guys just sat there to take movies of this. The guy in the merc didnt even hit the brakes. what was he thinking?

    Yeah that vid was originally posted on the local paper's website. I haven't been down the Beach Road lately, but I think probably it wasn't a proper speed bump but something the road construction company did that afternoon, e.g. they ran a pipe across the street and protected it with ramps.

    The normal speed limit on that road, a busy residential and commercial area, is 50 mph. That goes for most every road in the city. And 60+ is just a normal speed, on surface streets, in the city.

    Years ago there were just two speed cameras on that road. One night I was cruising along and a kid flies by me just before the first one. FLASH! He's all bummed and slows right down, goes along for a few miles, and finally decides to speed up, yes, just before the second camera. FLASH! Priceless....
