    What would you do ?
Its one of those times that you know that you would be doing the right thing,
but that annoying child within is screaming a hissy fit, something nasty.
see I moved to LaQuinta and now I don't use the bike any more since I moved from Newport beach.
Its been hot , followed by hotter. the ground is burning dusty and straight.
Its a business move so It was a must , but the joy of riding is now officially gone.
there are some months where it can be ok to ride ( Dec,Jan,Feb.)
but the bike will be in hibernation after that.
I want to keep it , but It really is kind of stupid now that I left Orange county.
The roads are crap, chipped, dirty, hot , and all good for cursers.... i.e. straight
it is too hot to have riding gear on, plus the bike runs bad and wants to stall at stoplight RPMs when it is sucking 112 degree air. ( not good).
I love the freedom of the whole thing and when I lived In orange county biking was all good,
...but the desert temps make riding , gear, road surface. and everything about riding a very unpleasant experience... actually two times I tried, It lasted 5 minutes,
.....and it was down right torture.! I felt like getting rid of it just for the 9k payoff, just not to feel that "roosting in oven effect with no were to go ",ever again
    Any suggestions...... ?
    I want to keep it,
....but I know what is the right thing to do.! ?

    There is your answer.

Just make sure and ride the heck out of it those three months. People in Alaska or Canada have bikes too, how many months do you think they ride?

It doesn't sound like you enjoy riding enough to keep it. Either that, or the roads around there plain suck.

My advice, sell the Ducati and purchase a cheap throw around bike. Look into a 98-00' japanese 600... That is of course, unless you're an image rider.

You are not far off what i was planing to do.
I am going to sell it for the 8900 pay off,
then get a clean Ducati monster going for about 4k.
It has a more Upright riding and smoother chassis for the roads around here.
then I still get the Twin torque and sound, more comfort, half the insurance...
and it can still grind pegs in the twisties.

That way you can still enjoy riding while not feeling guilty that you have wasted money.

Get a Vanson perforated leather jacket. Once you're going 30+mph, the heat will be no problem and no sacrifice of protection!
