I know there are some Ducati fans on here, so here it is awaiting pre-delivery. Number 1289 of 1500. Image Unavailable, Please Login
They have 4 of them in there at the moment. This is 1253 of 1500 and it is in "Team colours". It is interesting to note small differences between the 2 bikes. # 1289 has different coloured engine side casings and fork end caps for example. Image Unavailable, Please Login
It comes with a full race exhaust and ECU which gives it the full 200hp. You can't fit it until it is run in (no idea why) and I was advised not to fit it as it is so loud that it makes the thing unusable. I seem to recall 120dB? Sounds perfect to me
The exhaust exits behind the seat, so passengers are not a good idea Useless fact- the light grey exhaust surrounds you can just make out in the pictures are manufactured by the Ferrari F1 team. It's the same stuff they use on the F1 cars where the exhaust exits the bodywork. I was told today the wheels are $18k (magnesium, exactly what is on the Moto GP factory bikes) so best not to crash it.
Very cool, amazing bikes. Had a close up look at one recently, could spend hours on all the details. Do you plan to ride it much or will it be more of a show piece?
I remember when the 355s were still new and someone up here clocked the kerb and BROKE all 4 wheels, cost was $14k for the set and I thought THAT was expensive
The dealer has sold a few of them unregistered as the owners have no intention of riding them. I am going to stump up the $7k to register it, so I will ride it. Probably not a lot; but I will ride it.
I seem to recall my 2nd set of F50 wheels was about that sort of money too. I didn't think it was bad value considering the tiny production run for them.
WOW, congtrats.! Ducati Melb. or Zagames? What's like the ballpark price on one of these? Once again, congrats! <> Got so excited, i left this out: Ciao, M
Funnily enough all the other owners of the bikes at Zagame's now turned up when I was there looking at mine. I swapped my Feb 2009 spot with a guy from Sydney for this bike as he didn't have the $ ATM for it. As far as I know the last shipment turns up in Feb 2009 and that's it. I am not sure if there are any unsold bikes; but it wouldn't surprise me one bit. Don't expect much of a deal though as the dealers have SFA margin in them it seems.
Zagame's in Richmond. There are 4 there now if anyone wants to have a look at one in the flesh. Price is $99,990 plus dealer delivery and OTR costs in your state. In Vic you are looking at $107200 retail.
You can ride it's stable mate. Swap at the return point and compare notes at home Image Unavailable, Please Login
I'll be way behind you two watching..... http://users.tpg.com.au/jpmccabe/hot2.jpg Stunning bike, might have to roll on down there one day after work. On a Ducati note, have you ridden the GT1000? Whilst the 848 is more my style, the cafe racer has captured my heart. Though I am just one big "gunna"
Don't let me ride it, otherwise this might happen to it. Polish right out, NOT! Ciao, M Image Unavailable, Please Login
