I was reading some story on ************** about it and it said that the
chassis was scratch built by Bizzarrini whereas before I heard it was 003. But that conflicts with the SN of the Bizzarrini Manta mid engine show car by Giugiaro's then new Ital Design firm, I thought that was built on P538 race car chassis 003.
Which car has sold for more at auction? I think the Manta didn't sell last time it was at auction.
I was also wondering what the first barn finder paid when he brought the Duke d'Aosta car to America?
It must generate a lot of heat in that car though I understand the roof is removable. I have never seen a picture with the roof off. Is the car back in Europe today?
thanks for any news or opinions on this unique car.

The Duca D Aosta is the only P538 to have a serial number, why? Because the duke had the power to do so , plus all the other cars were race cars. This would mean the Manta never had a Bizzarrini serial number. It has a Ital design chassis number. Maybe because it was held in customs for not having a serial number?

The Duca number is completely different than any Bizzarrini or the Manta

PM me and I will give you the number of the Duca D Aosta

There is a sunroof type top that comes out picture attached
