Sorry for the stupid question but I am trying to eliminate all variables. My workshop manual instructs to check the hydraulic fluid level with the top "closed". I assume that means top up position. Is that correct? As always, thanks!

Thanks. Top hangs up only when closing, 1/2 way through the cycle. A little help moving the front top assembly forward allows it to close. Suspect a secondary cylinder. Perhaps I will bleed the cylinders next. Thanks again.

Check to make sure one or more of the arms is not binding, one may be slightly out of alignment.

Thank you. Good suggestion. There is also a distinct sound when the top releases(Left/ Driver's side only). It does appear something is binding. Sitting in the car viewing several opening and closing cycles, I cannot see the point where it is restricted.
