Does it matter which cylinder goes to each position on the fuel distributor. I dont think it really matters but wanted to ask. Thanks! -Mike Image Unavailable, Please Login

No, they're all functionally identical. Of course, it's nice to route them in the same manner the factory did them.

Thanks for the response. I'll try my best to get them correct, but sadly I failed to take good photos of the front bank.

The lines are bent to correctly mount to one position only. If not forced, they will naturally go to their correct position.

If they are natural brass they are going to retain that appearance in the engine compartment for about 20 minutes!

    OK, in reality...a few days...;)

Yellow zinc just like when they were made.

Everybody uses cadmium. Cad quit being used in cars in the 50 and early 60's.

Thank you everyone! I marked which line goes to each cylinder, but did not mark where the line connects at the fuel distributor. These photos are a great help!

The system is Continues Injected System with poppet style injectors that work with both high fuel pressure and lower atmosphere pressure in the intake, when calibrated right the fuels lines should be the same length or as close as possible (just like headers) this keep balance in the fuel delivery system equal fuel to all cylinders with the same volume and flow rate This is why when looking at the pics the closer to the fuel distributor the more loops in the line. Once the bends are in the lines they really don’t do well if rebend so try to keep them as close to their original position as possible
