I know this question will be meaningless to 99% of you who are petrified that these cars melt in the rain, but....

Is there a wiper blade that can form to the countour of the windshield? I have Bosch blades on there now, but they can't form to the windshield and so I get a little patch of clear windshield. That sounds like a first world problem meme: "The wiper blades on my Ferrari suck." *tear*

Drove to lunch in the rain and was wishing I had a better view. It doubly sucked because I had just driven through the spray car wash this morning after getting gas and had a clean car. Now it's got dirty rain spots all over it.

Hmmm - I put "normal" Trico blades from the local parts store on my 328 a couple of years ago with no issue at all. Maybe you just got a bad or old set of blades? My car has been in the rain many times and those blades have worked fine. The SPEED of the wiping is a bit anemic but that's Ferrari's fault, not Trico's. :)

Are those the contour type blades? I tried some of those a couple of years ago and they wouldn't even lay against the windshield in the off position. So I put the Bosch back on.

Yeah, the speed sucks and when you put them on high the lever is right at your knee.

For other cars, I've really like the PIAA Silicone blades (try TireRack). You need to buy the entire blade through, not just the refill.

I wish PIAA Silicone refills would fit the cool factory 3x8 wiper blades. I wouldn't dream of taking my car out on one of the 4 or 5 days a year it rains around here, but the silicone blades don't dry like regular rubber refills so won't self-destruct and scratch the windshield should I accidently bump the switch.

Brian, your comment goes right to my heart, I'm actually working for PIAA in Japan! I also wish the same, I could try to ask our development manager to make refills for 3x8 wipers, he's a big Ferrari fan, but I'm not sure the toolings investments will be approved by the president... ;-)

What are the "cool factory" blades? According to the OM, they are just Bosch...I thought.

Humm, mine are made of lightweight round rods; no thick bars like most blades. Kinda "coat hanger wire" diameters. ... I was told that they were original, but ...

I don't know if they are contour blades or not; I don't remember that they were anything special - I just took the oem blades out and took one into the store and bought new ones of the same length. Maybe I just got lucky. As they say, luck is always better than skill! :)
