This to some will sound like a really dumb question about mondial servicing.

I have a Mondial Qv which I have not started for 18 months, I've been using a 355 and kept this in storage, everytime I went to get it out I couldn't due to various problems.

Anyway I was told by a couple of people that I need to take the Leads off the coils and let it turn over for at least a couple of minutes to let the oil circulate around the engine, this I understand

I was also told that I should drain the oil and put fresh in before turning it over, I was told these are a semi dry sump, this will sound stupid to some on here but will all of the oil drain from the sump if I take the sump plug out or will some sit in the cooler etc..., also don't you normally start an engine before changing oil as its then easier to drain

Any answers to these question would be appreciated

By all means prime the engine by turning it over without the coils (take the plugs out as well it will make it spin over easier)
the oil is your call, yes some oil will stay in the cooler but not much (cooler is higher than the drain plug so most drains out)

    Cheers Andrew,

I know it sounds stupid but I've never done it before, just on normal cars, I've always had an ex Ferrari mechanic do it.
