Griot's has a similar product (or for what I know it may be the same). I was curious about these as well. Hopefully someone has tried them and can comment.

Bought a can today, this stuff isn't what I thought it should be its like spraying Pam on your cars finish, you can wipe it off with your fingers after its supposedly dried, tried it on one of my driver vehicles, it would make removing bug or road grime easy but can't see it providing much if any chip protection. Tried it in 2 separate spots so unless I got a bad can its a dissappointment

The Griot's stuff claims you peel it off. Sounds like a different formulation. Wonder if that is more promising?

Now don't they have 2 formulations? Somehow I don't think the black would be like that....... I've been curious about this stuff, too.

Nowhere does it say it provides chip protection!

Calling it a "temporary spray-on bra" implies that it would have similar qualitites....

Exactly, a temporary spray on bra for road trips gives that impression, it also gives a flat opaque white appearance its not clear

"Shield, from Dupli-Color, provides temporary spray-on protection for your vehicle where bugs and road grime can do damage. It’s ideal for the front end, rear quarter panel and rocker panels. Spray on Shield as a temporary bra for long road trips, quick mud flaps or as a bug guard. Shield sprays on easily and dries in less than a minute. And best of all, it stays on until you wash it off. You can power wash it off or use soap and water. Rain, snow or moisture in the air won’t affect it. This product leaves no residue on a vehicle’s paint. Give your vehicle the protection that it deserves with Shield."

    No chip protection at all.

The Griots stuff promises chip protection, but I won't try it on a 328 due to all the hood louvres and crevices around the front bumper. I think it would take forever to clean off the little flecks.
