I'd like to import the audio portion of several concert DVDs I own into iTunes. I don't have a video iPod, just the Nano model. Is this possible? **

** This may be a dumb question, but I'm over 40.

Yes, but unfortunately without knowing what system you have and how much tinkering you want to do, it could be a very lengthy post. Additionally, if they're Dolby/DTS 5.1, you're going to have to downmix to a 2 channel stream.

They are Dolby/5.1. My PC is just a Windows XP/IBM Thinkpad, about 2 years old. Sounds like I need to buy software to do this (?)

I don't want to tinker -- I was hoping it would be more straightforward.

Googling "dvd audio to mp3" finds a lot of software that will do the job, then just transfer the mp3 to the Nano (Itunes?)
