    can anyone answer this for me.

    video cameras seem to have a much higher dynamic range than still cameras. why is this?
    as a photographer, you are always battling light conditions, shadows etc... yet while watching video, the cameras seem to be able to see shaded areas and light areas at the same time quite well, much like a human eye would.
