E-Bay Problems with "Factory" 308/328 Shop Manual

As always, be VERY, VERY, wary of anything on E-bay. I just paid $199 for a shop manual that is definitely not a genuine article....just a cheap zerox put into a blue binder that has a clear cover insert for a title page...of course the tip off to the scam was the lettering on the binder cover was BLACK and not white....no hard card chapter separation cards...just badly zeroxed material that you can download for free, get on a CD for a few bucks on E-bay... The same vendor is now selling a 308/328 Parts Manuals.... Again, the cover of the parts manual is black lettering. My authentic parts manual is white lettering on the cover. I see they are also offering 911 Porche "factory" manuals for $695,....in a red binder. Are these also zerox copies? Anyway, I'm sure I have lost out, I'll try Paypal dispute resolution, but have little faith in it. Oh well, I hope I can alert even one F-Chatter to avoid this gross misrepresentation....I'll be happy. Anyway, I'm off on vacation to St. Thomas, where I plan to sip "Pain Killers" to forget this scamming. Paul

 

I started the resolution process and the vendor agreed to refund the money....now whether this happens is still in question. Of interest now, go to E-bay...."Dino 246 Parts " and you will get a chance to buy that gem for $189.95....looks just like my "rare,....hard to find....in original binder" etc. shop manual....I sure hope other F-Chatters ASK before they buy ..."Is this an authentic, original factory printing or a Zerox copy?" Oh well fooled once....I won't be stupid twice. I did agree with the vendor to "kiss and makeup" on the feedback...feel sorry for the next guy though.... Thanks for alerting me to get my &&^%^$^ butt in gear. ( St. Thomas/Painkillers/Foxy's BVI were great.!!) Paul
