I have recently chased a CAN bus issue in a Scud. The CAN bus in a Scud and a standard 430 are different. The diagram does not properly indicate the actual path of the wiring. I also found some pin connection numbers were not as written in the diagram. Typical of my experience with Ferrari diagrams and actual cars. Given the OP has a E-Diff error and it is not functioning, plus the ECU for E-Diff was under water, I suspect it is just not working. In this case, I think chasing anything in the CAN system at this point is counter productive. Any dead ECU will cause CAN communication error in many areas. The car I worked on had a bad TPMS ECU although you could access it and see it functioning. The bad ECU had all others on the CAN line showing multiply errors for CAN communication but nothing was showing it came from TPMS. The car would start but would not go in to gear. Once the TPMS was unplugged, the car went in to gear and could be driven around without issue. After a new TPMS ECU it still dove but after 45 seconds the TPMS would stop working and had an error. I then had errors for ambient temp. Replaced the sensor in the mirror and had a good reading at the AC but engine read 143.3 L & R and dash had zero. I finally found a bad pin connection on the AC that was not letting the temp reading to be communicated to the CAN system. Now everything is working again.

The CAN diagram doesn't even show the AC system but it is there. Long post just to say it is a complicated system with sketchy information and one small issue will bring down the whole thing. I was fortunate that I had another 430 to compare reading with and then another SCUD to compare readings with.

Its a flood car and he only has the one so no comparison work. It will be difficult to pin point specific issues.

    Ta for the help
one other odd thing i picked up on last night
im not seeing an airbag ecu on the diag ? no errors but just no recognising there is a module/ecu although i do have the seats out if that makes a difference?
    launch says not installed
can the airbags be switched off some where on the car and so not picking up the ecu?

    hi Qavion
Have you the pin out details for all the other wires in plugs A and B. Going to E diff ecu ?

Only for the F1 car. The gated car wiring is just "pencilled in"

The E-Diff has surprisingly few wires on it. Sensor, valve and power wiring. Most of the data goes on the C CAN Bus (see previous page)

Note: I did find an error in a previous version of this diagram, so I would encourage folks who have downloaded my previous diagram to update.
