I'm currently looking for an E36 M3 Coupe so i know how hard it is to find a nice one but most of the cars on bf are well taken care of (and if not, the original poster is called out pretty quick if any of the info doesn't add up)

    Good luck!

Anytime. Autotrader and all the usual places is good too but i strongly suggest you watch the bf classifieds. As i said, most of the cars there are the real deal and if there is any suspicious history, it is usually mentioned in the ad

I'm e30evo on there btw. I like to lurk around in the classifieds and Off topic

You know no factory 6-speed M3/4's. Wife had a White/Tobacco brown(rare, never see it) 5-speed, Confortied, flipped tower mounts, forged wheels, hard loaded. She still misses it. Could dog me a bit in tight stuff with my E39 M5.
There is a silver one floating around that might suit. http://www.premiercars.com/Inventory/557/bmw-p3334
    No relation, yada yada.

Such a swap should be more then possible. I was looking into a 6 speed swap into my E24 (needs a different trany the the E36) for the hell of it...only the problem was trany costs more then the bloody car... now thats IF I found one!

Lots of 20yo's with E46's put on head. Keep looking. I planned one for my E36 M3 2door (2/94 prod, #00016 :D ) but an ex keyed it and I sold it. Daytona/grey. Should have kept it and run her over ;)

Euro cars were 6 speed. Swaps are avaliable from the usual places

Nice combo. I think i've only seen a car with tobacco interior once

Price is HIGH. I've seen turbo cars with the same amount of miles go for that much

Yes, Euro cars had 6-spds, started with 3.2's, although the odd green with purple and green interior 3.0's for GB had them IIRC. I thought we were talking about US cars. Those I know pretty well. A thrashed turbo M3 is a money pit. I didn't say that was a deal, but it really isn't too bad, looks very nice, nicest one I've seen, and isn't riced, then de-riced for sale. Selling 4-door with cage and hoosiers seems to kill resale a bit, unless that's what you want. :)
The white/tobacco car was really good looking, they'd never seen one when we ordered it, never had another with tobacco. Great car. We love BMW's, but right about the time the ugly 7 came out, our local dealer started sucking in worst way, so we sold all of them, haven't had one since. New M3 tempting, as it isn't ugly, but 335 can be built for far less. Still, dealer sux, so probably not worth hassle. Miss those cars, and they are getting less ugly. We had E36M3's, E39 M5's, MZR, Z8, E38 750 Sport, ... all wonderful cars. Miss that feel. :(

I'm also in the market for a clean '98 or '99 E36 M3 Coupe (not convertible) in estoril blue. Must have a manual transmission- and would prefer the sunroof (not sure if it was included). Low miles (under 50k) preferable.

    Any leads are much appreciated!

Sunroof was standard. Non-sunroof cars are rare

Look to pay around 16k+ for a car with less than 50k. If you're flexible on the colour, i can show you some cars...

I'd be interested in whatever you may have to show me-- ideally, I'd like that blue. It's a car that I've always lusted over and would like it to be my first car in my "collection" that I never intend on selling..

I'd also check the BMW CCA's website--Google it and then select classifieds.

I searched for a while to find my current M3 sedan--98 Avus 5 speed (it was a special order). I picked it up several years ago with 17.5K miles.

Great cars are out there but they, IMHO, are hard to find.

    Good luck--Scott

I have an Alpine White/Black M3/4/5 with original and documented 18K miles. The car has an AA Stage 2 Turbocharge system that makes 370 rwhp and 390rwtq ..The car looks, drives and smells just like a new car...The car is tuned for reliabilty rather then power along with extensive but subtle modifications...
For some unknown reason,my computer won't let me post any picts so if interested let me know and i'll email them to you...
