Does anyone know what the deal is with the upcoming 330ci release. Originally I had heard late spring early summer '06. This week I was doing some researching and started reading end '06 or sometime in the beginning of 2007. I'm planning on making this my next car and I was hoping I wasn't going to have to wait this long.

Patience is a virtue, but damn it's gonna be tough.

I heard the same thing but a V6 does not seem like the BMW way to me.

    I thought the 335ci was a V8 engine?
I can't wait to see one also, if they do a good job on them like the e46 coupe, I would buy one also.

Can't go along with a V6. The 3.5 liter displacement definitely places it in the small V8 or large displacement in-line 6. And BMW has already shown that they rule the in-line 6 engine world. The older M5 and M5 along with the mid 80's 535i drew raves from the motoring world for the engines they had. I remember one of the automotive journalists stating after a roadtest "If I could sing like this engine does, I would pack the Metropolitan Opera House every night".

And turbos? I will have to see it........Maybe so but I am not convinced......

Last I heard, it was going to be out sometime within the first half of 2007.

The 335 engine was actually designated to be a Turbo engine as a matter of fact, but BMW has not released any info regarding the engine since October. So, I'm not sure if they're still going to go through with it or not.

Thanks for the info. Same exact information I've been getting. The latest info I read I don't remember where, is that the M3 is definately not being released until '07, but the coupe will be as early as June but more likely the end of the year (Sept-Nov).

Besides the 335, I've heard the first cars being 330ci's for a month or two then the 335ci coming out, or the coupe just becoming the 4-Series. So much speculation and no actual facts. BMW does a great job keeping the lid sealed on info. I just wish it would come out already, I'm getting antsy to see what it's going to look like in final skin. And I'm ready for a new car!

I don't see why they'd do anything but a straight-6... have you heard them? Oh my god! :D
