To be clear that’s for a 360 or are we talking about a 575 or are we assuming the base cost for both is approximately the same.

I’m not challenging the number (that’s what I had assumed)….just wanted to clarify as I thought they had only done a very small handful of 575’s so far.

I realize this is an EAG thread, but the price I quoted was the current Wil de Groot price which is where I'm having mine done. They are not backed up a year and can get you in and out in and out in a few weeks if things go according to plan.

Do any of these converters sell needed parts as kit? When 550 gets more expensive switch from 550 to 599 F1 + conversion kit might make sense eventually. Price difference when it makes sense is lower when car do not have to travel twice over ocean.

@Ferrari55whoa I severed the relationship between my company and EAG so I'm not really wanting to step in and say anything about EAG at the moment.

It was a podcast type thing he did a year or so back, talked about a trip to I think Italy with his brother in one.

It's on You tube somewhere. If I stumble across it again I will post a link.

The conversion does not feel good at all, I drove it and it’s nothing like the factory shifter, no wonder the 550s are so valuable !! I Have to buy a 550 I fell in love after a test drive

My OCD would not cope with the look of the gearshift on these converted cars. I can understand converting a car using OEM parts, anything else, no thanks

Congrats on the red 575 sale….saw the IG post. Genuinely hope someone brought a truck load of money for it.

At least on the 360/430 if you have a factory gate and a factory shift knob it's pretty hard to tell the difference by looking at it. EAG gates are a dead giveaway.

You know, I won’t disparage anyone else’s methods or decisions, but I came to feel the same way. At first I was thinking, “Ehh, it isn’t original but so what? If it’s fun it’s good.” Ultimately, the non-OEM route just wasn’t for me…but I got really lucky with the parts (thank you Robin!!) and certainly will never say someone is wrong to go another way. I will submit, however, that I think the pricing of some of these jobs is bonkers.

I can’t believe it took longer to find FHP springs than OEM manual guts, haha!

Some people care way too much about their car's purity. I replied to one guy's post asking why he was always trash talking conversions and he messaged me announcing that he is blocking me and for me to enjoy my bastardized car. It was truly a heart-wrenching experience.

Yeah, anyone can do whatever they want to their own car. If I was to do a conversion, I'd only go down the OEM route. I personally would be too worried that some of these other conversions would have significant failures later on :)

Jeeze, that’s a fairly extreme reaction! You have to expect to be queried if you have such strong, public opinions.

I don’t get wailing on other people’s desires. I mean, ok - I’ve seen some tacky #%^t…but it’s your car. I don’t care if you want to paint it bright pink and glue a unicorn horn on it, if it makes you happy and it’s your dream ride, how can I be anything but happy for you??

I’m really glad I did, not for some misguided feelings of superiority, but simply because it is EXACTLY what I imagined and 100% what I want it to be. I can feel the lineage stretching back to the early days of the marque every time I touch that marvelous shifter. Some may say that’s crazy, but I swear it’s true! It is absolutely the car I’ve always wanted.

The OEM stuff will probably fail too…which only makes it more authentic :D

Hello to all clients past, present, future and prospective!

We want to reach out to everyone to re-establish a point of contact and bring clarity to the current state / future of the business.

As you may or may not have heard, EAG is no longer in operation. The core architecture of the company that was EAG has gone through a major restructuring. The partners, associates and staff that completed the conversion / service backlog over the past year have separated, switched gears and formed a new company, Macchina Motorwerx. We will be carrying the conversion torch moving forward. The team does not include Art or any remaining members of EAG; we wish them luck on their future endeavors.

We have a complete inventory of all manual conversion components in our latest iteration for Ferrari 360 / Challenge stradale, 430 / 430 Scuderia / 16M, 575, 599 & 612. ALL AVAILABLE NOW.

Any work that was performed by members of our team during our time with EAG starting from March of 2023 to February 2024, will still hold the original warranty on our conversion components and installs. This will be honored and administered through Macchina Motorwerx. Anyone that has had work performed by EAG before that time frame that has questions, issues or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact us. We will help you in any way we can.

Macchina Motorwerx will remain hyper focused on Ferrari conversions, whether in house or remotely we provide full support. Meanwhile, our engineers have nearly completed the first Lamborghini Murcielago conversion! This is an exciting breakthrough that will be soon offered to the market. In addition, we are operating a full automotive repair workshop with an extremely talented crew. Our team specializes in all automotive repairs, service, performance modifications, software enhancements, track support, and collection management.

Additionally, we are offering custom manufacturing services for NLA (no longer available) parts for vintage makes and models, while creating solutions for niche automotive issues supporting the collector car world.

We look forward to working with everyone in the future. If you have any questions about any type of projects, or would like further clarification, please don't hesitate to inquire. We love taking on new concepts. Thank you to all who have been a part of our journey. We sincerely appreciate your patronage.

insta and website in development should be done in the next week. This development is new but the physical personal and the product is what it should be. We aren't going to post things that aren't real. Keep in mind we are operating as a real business not a YouTuber flash in the pan.
Yes we are in Jarrell Texas about 45 minutes north of Austin.
