I remember that sale. In ttforcefed's defense the manettino not working was not concealed. What I do remember before that sale was Art's minions going on Facebook and calling everyone who didn't agree that it would fetch a million a ****ing idiot. Sent from my toilet using FerrariChat.com mobile app
I'm not sure what his purchase has to do with an F1 to 6 speed conversion done by EAG. ttforcefed bought a Fk'd up car Art helped him out on. Got it.
I would have been completely happy to have the Scud even without the manettino working if that’s what was in the cards.
Regardless of who is to blame at eag, this drama is dragging all involved down. That doesn’t change the fact that that scud is still freaking awesome.
Are you just a passive aggressive adult or are you a 15 yr old? Have never seen an adult use emojis this much to have a conversation.
@kent: From trev: “There is NO diagnostic check (or associated CEL illumination) with the Clutch Position Switch. If its fitted it uses it, if its not, it ignores it. There is a CEL for the Brake Switch but for an unknown reason (budget, time, etc.) they never implemented a diagnostic check in the original firmware.” As my car has a clutch switch the following items are addressed: “The clutch switch (if available) is used in following algorithms ; 1. Secondary Air System 2. Misfire Fuel Adaption 3. Detection of current Gear 4. Fuel Cut Conditions 5. Idle Speed Control / Anti stall 6. Torque based modelling and Anti-jerk 7. Torque Target Limiting 8. Torque Intervention 9. Calulation of Maximum Retard Spark Limitation” He also said your car had a faulty Ediff pre conversion fwiw.
@trev360 ttforcefed is claiming you told him I had a faulty e-diff prior to conversion. This is NOT true.
Out of those, the parts you will notice when driving are the idle speed control/anti stall, and the fuel cut conditions. Others are mostly internal to the ECU and won't really change the behavior to the driver.
Please don't write something I didn't say. I said it wasn't true and Trev would have no way of knowing that anyway. He only received files AFTER Art sent it to him, which was AFTER Art copied over the files. Trev has no clue what the car had or didn't have prior to Art sending him the files.
I have not personally worked on or inspected Kent Adam's car. Therefore, I do not have first hand knowledge of whether the E-differential (E-Diff) functioned correctly. Based on information received from EAG (second-hand information), a failed accumulator was reportedly identified, and a bypass module was used to deactivate the E-Diff. The accuracy of this information cannot be confirmed due to the lack of direct involvement. Internal diagnostics software is built-in to the E-Diff module, its separate from the engine management software, typically detects and reports any error codes related to the E-Diff function that it supports. These reported errors typically indicate genuine faults like wiring issues, accumulator problems, sensor malfunctions, fluid leaks, pressure concerns, etc. One exception to this scenario involves "cross-flashing" software incompatible with the specific car. This action can lead to E-Diff error codes due to software incompatibility. In the particular case of [car example], I can confirm that the original firmware was read and used for all conversions I was associated with, eliminating the possibility of cross-flashing and its associated error codes. [ Unfortunately, what Art told you and what Art sent you was wrong. Fortunately, for me, I recorded the whole process of conversion and have it on a flash file . I paid extra to have the conversion done in my garage for a reason. Thank you for clarifying some misinformation on this thread (I.e. "I do not have first hand knowledge of whether the E-differential (E-Diff) functioned correctly"). Additionally, Art told me NOT to buy the E-diff bypass from Scudding Swiss. I bought it several months after he left my car crippled and the only reason he even knew what I did is because I told him several months after he crippled my car. Unfortunately, there is additional misinformation that was fed to you by Art, like a faulty accumulator. There wasn't a faulty accumulator at all. Art's completely forgot it was the F1 pump he claimed to me was the problem. However, after taking the car to my local Ferrari dealer, it was determined that both the accumulator and pump were in working order. The problem was that Art's crew, drunk no doubt from all the Mexican beer they were drinking during the day, didn't wire the car correctly. I can easily see them sending you the wrong files, those guys were drinking heavily during the conversion. I had 10 cases of beer in my garage fridge and they drank it all!
