I am a true and blue Leaf fan. Two choices this summer who would you take. Cujo or Belfour.

I have never liked Belfour and I liked Cujo.

    My vote is sign Cujo.

    What about you?

He's playing for ~900K right now, and is free at the end of the season. He's a few years younger than Eddie, so I see no reason why not to pick him up. His #s are better than Eddie's this season too. Add to that the fact that he's willing to play for Toronto, and that h'es much cheaper than the Eagle, I see no reason not to sign him. He'll stick around a bit longer than Belfour would have, giving us enough time to get the backups Tellqvist and the other super star rookies to get used to NHL play. It's a wise move to let go of Eddie (he's too old now, and quite inconsistent) and pick up Joseph one last time.

Correction: Leafs are in a TONNE of more crap than any other team out there. We're a totally dysfunctional team right now. There is no synergy. We have no solid, consistent players except for McCabe and/or Kaberle. The rest seriously suck, horribly. Steen has some hope, but other than that this squad is sooooo crap, absolutley no one else is worth mentioning. Nothing better than average. It needs a total rebuild and fast.

the sportsnet crew were saying a coach change might be in need...but i highly doubt that Quinn is the problem......

Raisin, it's true. We need to ditch the Eagle, save some roster money, and put in place CuJo one last time.

I disagree, I think Quinn IS a part of the problem. WTF is he doing keeping horse crap like Berg around? That idiot has done absoltuley nothing, why is he even playing??? Quinn's methodologies have failed, he needs to change the way he runs the team and the game's politics, or else get the hell out. I don't know why the NHL holds him in such high regard. He seems to be no different than any other average coach. We need someone who can teach the boys how to play, but moreover, we need boys that CAN play. Everytime I watch the LEafs play, what do I see? Nothing but an extravagant display of pick and shoot. Any goals they score are almost always luck drievn, there is never a showcase of great skill in ANY play this team makes.

I'll end the rant with this: Raptors for life :D

i dont think quinn would be the problem, he's one of the best coaches in the league....everyone has bad games, look at montreal...after 2 years i think, dumped claude as their head coach...they had winning seasons both years, just not good enough, 2 games after he goes they win, and one tthey get blown outta the water....how is anyone going to know what happens next...

its all about the team morale, coaches assist the win, the players go out and win....i think in toronto's case, eddy's time has run out, he has good moments in games, and not so many good games....like last night, if he didnt have those moments where he was just amazing it woulda been 11-0...

As for cujo, i dont htink phenoix will let him go, they'll try signing him before his contract expires and he becomes a free agent...he's not gonna come back to toronto...

HOWEVER in the end, i'm a hardcore habs fan, so whatever toronto does as long as the habs beat them...its all good for me...

    Thats all for now..
    Later,

In today's terms that is. He doesn't seem to be doing anything extraordinary right now, same with last season. The blames's not entirely on him, but on the roster too. Either way we need massive changes on this team soon, before it's totally run into the ground.

Quinn needs to be walked out the front door....

The Eagle needs to be wheeled out in a wheel chair out the front door...

Though Cujo is getting up there in age, he should have never left 'the stupid'

As for the rest of the team, my heart goes out to Sundin, the rest goodbye.

This team has "little heart" and less courage, and it all stems from Quinn.

NEITHER OF THEM! SERIOUSLY. CUJO? BELFOUR? Not a chance.

No more old-glory veterans. This team needs a complete overhaul, starting with the war horses. They need a younger team.

Who would I like to see in net next year? Tellqvist. Seriously. Find a good young back-up goalie for him, but Mikael is ready for the #1 spot.

And while they send Belfour to pasture, they can send away Allison, Lindros, Czerkawski, O'Neill, and Domi.

Sundin should remain on the team, but he is seriously overpaid and overrated.

Bright spots: McCabe, Wellwood, Steen, Kaberle, Tucker.

A ferrari handles like crap on Viking tires compared to Bridgestones.

Sundin looks bad because of his team. Getting Cujo back is a good step, draw him in to teach the newbies....and get a new team all 19 yr olds that are hungry.

    YES! Thank you!!

Finally someone from Toronto agrees with me on my points... I've had enough of blind Leafs loyalists who consider our team to be playoff contenders...

Scrap Quinm, and scrap the bleedin' team. We need to completely rework the entire franchise. WTF is wrong with the GM? Excuse the language, but it seems as if Ferguson is Quinn's b*tch... We need a coach that pushes the team and makes them give it their all. Who in their right mind plays Sundin with such hopeless linesmates?? Send him chewing his Juicy Fruit elsewhere, we don't want him in that box.

And wait, a friend just sent me this link... look here. Rick, our fears have come true... http://tsn.ca/nhl/news_story/?ID=151949&hubname=

Well said! We need someone to bring our amazing rookie goalies up to par. We've got serious contender's in our goalie reserve. Granted, all but one of them will leave, but either way we should have a rising all star in the works.

I've had enough of this disgraceful team.. until someone in the position of authority get's their act together, good bye.

When has Sundin ever played for a good team? He was with the Nordiques before the Leafs.

Don't get me wrong, Sundin is an amazing talent. But he's not worth his salary, and he lacks the fire & competitive spirit that a Captain needs. At about 60% of his current salary, he makes sense.

Good one, but, no, I wasn't drinking at the time.

I take it that you're talking about hockey. Sorry I can't contribute, but I do run into this Domi guy once every couple of weeks. I understand he plays.

If you worked for a company always losing and not hitting budget and everything around you was negative or not up to your standards day in and day out do you not think your fire would diminish ?

His fire and comepetitive spirit has been dying because its always getting pissed on.

LOL!! Oh come on, you know I was only messing aorund :D. But you have to admit, the Raptors in this mid-season have FAR more heart than the Leafs. They give it their all in their latest games. That, I can respect...
