WHERE WERE YOUR FIRST FERRARI SITINGS? I HAVE THREE THAT SOMONE MAY/MAY NOT REMEMBER 1. SPRING HILL BRISBANE DINO 246 LIGHT BLUE/GREEN CAR AT BP SERVO CAR WAS THERE FOR MANY MONTHS AROUND 1974/75 2. 1974/75 LUTWYCHE BRISBANE SILVER FERRARI DAYTONA DRIVEN BY ATTRACTIVE BLONDE WOMAN (TWICE) 3. SOUTH BRISBANE AROUND 76/77 LIGHT METALLIC GREEN 330GT. WHERE ARE THEY NOW?
1. Would be red now. 2. Would be red now and she wouldn't be as attractive.(or twice as attractive ) 3. Would be red now. And...could you please stop yelling
'71 LIVERPOOL METALLIC BLUE 246 OWNED BY BOB WALKER WAS THE FIRST TIME I FELL IN LOVE, PROBABLY SAW MORE BEFORE THAT BUT DON'T REMEMBER ...... sorry Horse, I had my hearing aid in
The first I remember - the Whitehead and Parnell Super Squalo's and Lex Davison's 625 - Albert Park 1956. Totally outclassed in the race by the 250F's of Moss & Behra, they still had that "something" that caught my imagination. AaaaaaaH, the good old days!
they can do anything with a bit of plastic these days . back on topic probably seeing an F40 at the motor show i'd reckon
I remember Sydney 1971-72, seeing my first 275GTB (don't know if it was a 4 cam) in yellow at some event in showgrounds, the owner giving it a rev for us. Yes, it was smoky even then !! And parking in Pitt Street I recall being stopped dead in my tracks by the elegant beauty of a red 330GTC.
1975 Hay St Perth, glass 308GTB. I couldn't believe how it was possible for any car to be so beautiful. Finally bought one in 1985, 1976 steel car, red of course. Sat in my garage till midnight the first night just looking at it. Woke up at 6am the next morning to wash it. Found rust bubbles in inside bottom of driver's door. Total horror!! After buying and owning many rusty Alfa's, I'd missed the most obvious thing, talk about "red mist"... Image Unavailable, Please Login
1990 Melb Motorshow, age 5 earliest show I can remember, and i sat in awe staring at the Ferrari stand. Dad then got me a 1/18 Burago F40 and I went home that night a very happy boy! first drive in a FCar was age 12 in dads mates black 308GTB
2001 (i think) Sydney motorshow as a 13 yr old, first time i saw an F40 and F50 in the flesh stood there with my dad for a good hour entranced.
Perhaps, I've been getting confused with my medication lately...but the memory is seared into my brain! Perth was very, very isolated then (you probably know) and the world changed for me when I went to Europe in 1977. Picked up a mate's new 924 from the Porker factory (we thought it was exotic!) and drove to London. Turn up at new business in Paddington the next day, discover our investor has a Jarama. "Want a drive" he says? Oh lordy, lordy, yes I do!
1st Ferrari I saw(that I remember) was in somewhere in the south of Italy. back in the early 80's. There was a local dealer that had one, they also had a Countach
first Ferrari i saw was when i was in primary school, sitting down minding my own buisness eating my lunch and my old neighbours blue mondial drives past, never forget that day
Funnily enough. My 1st Ferrari memory/sighting was when I was on the way to look at my Ferrari around 11 months ago now. I had been Ferrari deprived until that point. Driving along the motorway to the Gold Coast from Brisbane with a friend, we saw a yellow 360 Spyder with WAH360 plates on it. It was very nice. 30 mins later, I was test driving my 348.
I think my first Ferrari was a yellow 308 GTB at the Brisneyland Motor Show in 75/76. I do remember seeing Trev B's Daytona when it was green at Lakeside circa 1979ish. Test drove a Dino with Dad in 1982 ($18,000), it was a sh1tbox, couldn't wait to get my own after Dad bought 365 GT4 2+2 and then Horse and Brother bought his Dino(1984).....had to wait till 1988. is that oil and water leaking out of the car ??!! and it looks like your handbrake (the REAL handbrake) is working in that car
Yes, ff had just done a service, and yes, that's the Claytons handbrake...the handbrake you have when you really want a handbrake.
hasn't it been quiet without ff and pp here lately ?? let's move house and not leave a forwarding address like my parents did to me when I got back from London
It's been nice. No need for mods with them not around! Drove past Phil's today, back on the 25th, just checked, PP back in 8 days, 21 hours. Might as well make the most of it while we can.
in pp's case it would seem to him that schapelle corby sentence is light in comparison, BTW since he has been put to a sabatical where has joek gone?
