Would someone like to sell me one? I would prefer that it were not perfect. My car is a '77 gtb. Thanks
FWIW- The one item my car didn't have when I purchased it was a battery cover. I could have bought a used one at the time for $50. Eventually, I just made one https://www.ebay.com/itm/FERRARI-308-BATTERY-COVER-OEM-60279809/392718702500
I sent mine in to a metal shop and they banged out four or five. A 1977 does have the square edge to go around the tire hold down...not sure what you mean. PM your info I will get a picture, by the third one they were getting good! As it does not show, I think these are passable.. NOT drilled for the studs and knurled nuts, just blank....HTH
I have an original one complete with nuts and clips, I think I paid $250 for it, if that sounds good.
Wow I have never noticed that variation, but all mine were North American versions. Thanks for pointing it out. Been remiss but will still post pictures..
If anyone wants a repro, these are actually a little heavier metal than OEM. Not drilled, ,...no hardware. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Often "left loose " for long periods, and the OEM metal is not stout....but yes I was so happy to find a rare, complete one, and it's ugly as a mud fence....
I pad mine a little and make SURE the Base block holder is on the battery, seems like a top post short just waiting to happen. I maintain Post Covers too....
My original cover was eaten through at one of the battery terminals... How much are you asking for a repo?
Where are you in the world? $50USD plus shipping (allow $20 for USPS) sound reasonable?? If you have your original fastenings they will make a nice improvement..I think the OEM is formed in aluminum. My repros are heavier gauged steel.
