Would anyone have a pattern for the seat design of my '78 built 308. I would like to change my seats from the current Daytona style to the original pattern. I am only changing the centre section, as the rest of the leather is in great shape and show a nice patina.
The first photo shows an original design with arrow. Are the narrow pointed bars simply sewn on top of the leather or is it actually a cut away and sewn in as separate butted sections ?
The second photo is of my current seats. I think it will be easy just to replace the centre sections...and cheaper.
If there are no patterns available, would someone please be kind enough to measure the length and thickness of the pointed bars. Thank you

In my opinion it's not worth spending money and time on your old seats. I think it's going to cost almost as much as what Vic charges for his new covers which are a very good quality.

Absolutely, I did business with him 3 or 4 times for Ferraris and Mercedes and never been disapointed.

Vic has done a few Ferraris for me. When I lived in the area I used to go down to his shop all the time, got to spend time with all of the guys in the shop and became friends with Vic. I saw him deal with all kinds of customers and issues, and he was unflappable and always accommodating. IMO, you can't go wrong with him. Attached is my 78 308 GTS that he did. AFAIK, the vinyl stripes are sewn on top.

Never can figure out why the lowers have all those creases when you have them redone. I had my seats covers custom made for $1000 and then "I" installed them on the frames to avoid this...P.S. This pic was taken after three years of driving on them. They have to be pulled tight as a frog's butt...and thats "water tight"!
