I'm in Aspen every fall working on commercial photography assignments. So last year Sept 21, (and I know I'm a year late-I misplaced these) I'm walking across a pedestrian bridge on the road that leads to Maroon Bells and I hear a great sound coming up from the East. I'm looking west. I swing around and catch the blur coming and have time to get my camera up as the Enzo passes under the bridge. I had never seen one at that time especially from the upper angle. It was a neat experience being a 911 driver and I thought it must be one of the first in the country as it was Sept of 03. It had Florida Plates so I figured it was just shipped in for the new buyer. Enjoy the photos. Robb Williamson Centennial, Colorado
Do all Enzo's have the circular mirror attachment (for a wider mirror visability) on the right hand (passenger) side like the one in the photos above? The one Enzo I've seen didn't have this. Plus that passenger side mirror is tilted far more "in" than the other mirror...perhaps for shipping purposes?
i have sat in that enzo... it has FL plates but is in aspen all year, the same person has an F50, F40 and a 288GTO(which i cant confirm but am pretty sure of...) my friend has seen the F50 and F40... havent met the guy personaly but his son was nice... also the enzo had about 3300(in Dec 03') miles on it and this was when the enzo was in storage, and several months after he got it, so it is not a garage queen, from what ive herd he really uses his cars a lot and with a F50 and F40 to also play with thats a lot of miles for an enzo after a couple of months....
ha i knew you would ask... no however when i was looking at the enzo i looked right at that plate on the drivers door, and saw the build plate/vin... then i kept looking around at the car later when i was taking pictures i took a picture of the plate on the other side, thinking it would be the same thing, only it turned out to be the tire info... i wish i knew though sorry...
here are some more pics they arnt the best of pics as my friend who was taking most of them could care laess about the car, and i had already seen an enzo at the houston auto show so i already had plenty of exterior shots
great pix Robb... a red/red Enzo was delivered to its owner here in NY as early as April 03. Anyone know of earlier US deliveries?
ha they said when they got it they drove it up and down independence pass, non-stop, until it got past the break in (500 miles) then drove it another 500 or so in the next week w/ the full RPM allowed...
I wouldn't be taking it up independence pass (too dangerous) , but there are some great roads built for the Enzo exploiting ALL it's speed nearby. I have also seen a beautiful red testarossa parked on the street near some posh restaurants. Not sure if it's the same owner or not. I will tell you that the Enzo had a very special exhaust and engine note as it went under me on the bridge. I recommend the vantage point. Is it just me at 6'-0" 220lbs, or is a countach very tight and clausterphobic for others? Robb
At a half an inch shorter than you and weighing... um... more than you, i would say no... The Countach i was in wasn't exactly roomy like a Mercedes, but it wasn't claustrophobic, either... In fact, there WAS a lot of leg room...
