I am a BIG Dufas sometimes. I promised this to a brother here a week or so back, and then life 'got in the way.' My Apologies..... Below is the Fuel Injection System Line Configuration for an early FI (2V) car. I copied it from actual parts I have laying around the house. I hope it helps. As a Disclaimer- REMEMBER, these cars are Italian and handmade. Differences can surely be expected from car to car even just one VIN apart. Other models MAY be different. Not to sidetrack the conversation, but has anyone found a modern day rail system replacement to this system?
retaining CIS or going EFI? The lines are steel and cad plated, brazed fittings etc.. not terribly difficult to replicate. Parts are still available but require a bit of digging for. CIS was very common up into the 90's on Mercedes and a few others.
I believe Norwood MAY have your answer. When they turboed a friend's car, they went to a fuel rail system. If you go with individual throttle-bodies, a fuel rail is used also IIRC. As to caps and rotors, no idea. I'll see the car later today and get picks.
Nick's Forza Ferrari Genuine and high performance Ferrari parts and modifications - they sell a well-regarded ignition replacement solution that uses the Electromotive XDi direct coil ignition system, and they also offer a replacement FI setup using the Electromotive TEC GT engine management system to replace ignition and fuel systems.
My 308 has modern efi, injectors, rails, etc. No one sells a kit, but I have enough machining equipment to do the job. Aaron Image Unavailable, Please Login
Umm, we do I've been fabing up EFI kits for almost a decade now for the 308 & 328's it's not a big seller but avg's about half a dozen a yr. I was never fond of the D rail setup so I had custom bits made and then I hand bend and form the tubing, it is a bit of a PITA but I wanted a nearly stock look. For the EFI there is also the option of the Link ECU, my preferred choice actually and the ECU I've been using for the engine builds over the last 4yrs. Image Unavailable, Please Login
For the ignition only we are sticking with Electromotives XDi, great little unit. For EFI I've been using and recommend Link.
