We had a 61 degree day today so I decided to take a nice ride with my wife. The car has been sitting comfortably in the garage since early November of last year (on the battery charger). After checking the tire pressure all the way around I fired it up. It immediately started but received a error message something like "electrical malfunction, see the dealer". A yellow triangle then appeared on the dash. I let it warm up for about 10 minutes then turned it off. I restarted it and the error message went away. Has this happened to anyone else. Please give me your advice. Thank you.

I have gotten that electrical message on my FF when battery was a bit low. When charger has been attached to my FF even after several days I never see indication light that it's in maintenance mode (vs charging) so these trickle chargers don't seem to get battery up to 100%. I was told by dealer that you can get that generic message if battery's a bit low and not all modules will self-check normally. But after running engine, things sort out and message disappears.

Thanks Dave; the car did run flawlessly and the message never came back. Appreciate your feedback.

The car is trying to tell you it doesn't like being stuck in the garage all winter. ;)

I have seen the message several times after some period of time on the tender... and ignored it. It disappears after reboot and start up.

    Philly,

I got this message last week after 2 weeks on charge, yellow triangle stayed on too.

Drove it for 30 mins an then turned it off, then restarted and it cleared itself.
Nothing to worry about and glad you enjoyed the drive.

Yes I've had the message as well, went away and never came back. Spoke to my dealer and he said he thinks it has something to so with unburnt fuel and an oxygen sensor. It happens when cars are started and then turned off again before they reach operating temp, he said when they move cars round at the garage they make sure they leave them running for a good 10 mins to avoid this
