Group: My early single-window did not come with backup cables for releasing the rear deck lid or the front bonnet (can you believe Ferrari overlooked this??); can someone with a '75-77 Testarossa please let me know where these "backup" cables are located on your cars so I can install them properly on mine? I've only been told that "maybe" the rear cable pull is located in the fuel door compartment. An e-mailed photo would really be appreciated, or just a brief description to: [email protected].
Many Thanks, Thorn McDaniel, Coconut Grove, FL

Is it a 75 -77 BB or a 85 -87 TR? Also is it a single window or single mirror?

Sorry for the mistake! Seems mine got left out of the engineering loop at the factory, and naturally the cables snapped...but I'd like to install the small sst backups in their proper location. -thorn

yes he said that in post number 3 . A single window would make lane changes a bigger leap of faith then they already are with 6 windows :)

Is the date of production on your car June or July...? Not that my question at all pertains to your dilemma, I'm sorry, I'm just curious. :)

Do you have the owners manual? It shows those locations. (or do you need more detailed info on routing?)

If you need the manual I can email you the pdf.

Testarob, Thanks! That would really help; I'd like to install the emergency pulls in the proper location...both front and rear cables.

NNO, I don't have the date of production for my car (VIN#ZFFSA17A2F0058745); perhaps you know a way of referencing the VIN with Ferrari or an online site??
    Thanks, thorn

The production date should be stamped on the data plate in the driver's door jam, on US spec cars anyway.
