Yesterday I took a couple photo's of a 1953 Vignale 375 America which was the Paris show car next to my 1954 Pinin Farina Cabriolet that was the 1954 New York show car. The Vignale was built in late 53 and the Cabriolet was built early 54. You guys can figure the serial #'s
I took the pictures because it is a very interesting combination of Ferraris. Close to the same period of manufacture by two different coach builders that have different styling approaches. Vignale was coming to an end of his working relation with Ferrari and Pinin Farina beginning a new partnership. It shows the decorative coach work by Vignale and the simplified refined lines of the Pinin Farina style. Both are exciting cars.
The photos are not to good because of lighting.

The spider is wonderful, but sorry, I prefer the coupe. It's drop dead beautiful, IMO....

Zach, the photos were taken yesterday so I'd think the answer is "yes."

Beautiful pics. Now they are both repainted from red.

I see influence in the coupe (0301 AL) of the "design of the day"...small, but definite fins, chromed space ship-like front end. I prefer Vignale's spyders. Maybe comparing spyders to coupes is unfair, but Vignale did some coupes that I like.

No evidence of this in the Pinin Farina. Clean lines that are more timeless and "lighter" than the Vignale.

Thanks for sharing! Nothing wrong with the photos at all.

I have never seen a picture of 0301AL at 1953 Paris show car. Does anybody have one ??
The only Vignale coupé's pictures I have for 1953 Paris show is 0295EU.

WONDERFUL pictures !! 0311EU is BEAUTIFUL without the previous horrible red. Same thing for 0301AL.

Bryan, at that time, it was gray. Here's a photo of the car in dark red while owned by Greg Garrison.
