It's a new month, and that means it's time for the monthly "Caffeine & Octane" show at The Avenue East Cobb on (east-west) Roswell Road. As usual, it's from 8:30 to 11 or so, and Panera Bread is adjacent for breakfast. Weather forecast is clear but cold, but I doubt if that will affect turnout much. We always get some exotics; how about more?

Here's this month's flyer with more details, that you can hang up at work, school, or wherever:

I should be there, my car runs better in the cold!

Well, just make sure you warm it up a looong time. Forecast is clear but just above the freezing mark at 8 AM. I suspect it will be a late-arriving crowd this time. But I bet some crazy will still show up in a Cobra roadster!

How about some kid on a motorcycle... what are they thinking these days?

Or those loonies you see at cold football games with no shirts and with their torsos painted up in the team colors with the letters of the team nickname in a contrasting color? Yeah, I'll bet at least one motorcycle will show up today.....

It did, and Alex was on it!

Not too bad a show in spite of the chill; I'd estimate about 50 cars total, though the cold led to an early mass exodus around 10 AM (ironically, just as it was warming up to something fairly comfortable!).

Good Italian participation: 3 Ferraris, 2 Lamborghinis, 2 Panteras, a Maserati and an Alfa Romeo. Plenty of British too, including Triumphs, a Mini and a Lotus. Some nice '70s Porsches and a couple of Ford Model A's. Even a "classic" Olds VistaCruiser wagon!

    Pics will be up late-week.
