Easy seat belt mouse question

    My 1994 512TR driver's side seat belt mouse stopped working. The recall was done in 2004 at Shelton Ferrari.
    To begin sorting out the problem, I was wondering if the upper door jamb switch only activates the same side mouse, and does it ground the circuit or provide power?
    If it acts as a ground my first investigation will be the switch itself and to see if grounding the wire activates the mouse (wouldn't that be an easy fix!).
    Thanks in advance for any advice.
