Hi all- Here is a 25k-ish mi example of a 348TS. Closed at $42K. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=2471255105&category=6212 By this rationale, a 94 shouldn't cost much more than $48-50K right? Spiders are fetching mid-high 50's. Am I all wet on this one? Seems to be a bargain for this much car. nick
The key here is the statement "30K service due in 5,000 miles." To me, that means it's never been done, period. And here the car is 14 years old. How much other deferred maintenance is there? If it were just a matter of getting the 30K done (which I wouldn't drive the car a mile on a 14 year old cam belt), then you're out $5-$6K-ish from a competent independent mechanic. So you're really in the car at $47-48K before you get out of the gate. Then if there are other deferred maintenance items, you go up from there. So...the $42K buyer will probably be in at a minimum of $48K and could be well into the low $50's depending on other surprises. Not too far off of "market" for a 348 with a fairly recent 30K service.
