    Slightly later kit 79-84 ish

    You are looking for the Everest wrenches in the earlier style case,
    there are several different style early cases.

    It's not 80s 400 as mine has the circular pouch style toolkit, which is correct for 84

    this looks very similar to the one in my 78 400. I'm not with the car at the moment but if memory serves mine had more spanners, all labeled Everest (except the one which is missing which is a shame).

    ok, so the kit being sold here only has 4 spanners and Marco's kit from his '73 365 looks pretty much the same as mine which from a '78 400, both of which have more spanners and the later cars have the round type kit, am I right in thinking that the one being offered here doesnt appear to be from one of our cars?

    It has eight spanners, each compartment has two, stacked, look closely.
    This kit is correct for '82 400i, I know that much.

    On closer inspection you're 100% correct about the doubled up spanners - kindly ignore my previous inaccurate post.
