Tell me it isnt so ?? A few weeks ago, I was searching for some KEy Blanks on ebay, and came across our very own Jimmy540i.com and his ebay deals : http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ru=http%3A%2F%2Fsearch.ebay.com%3A80%2F%2Fsearch%2Fsearch.dll%3Ffrom%3DR40%26satitle%3D4619500225%26fvi%3D1&item=4619500225 I sent him a request explaing that I was a fellow FChatter and what deal he would work me on 3 keys... His response was 900.00 Now mind you , his ebay auction states : "This item is not available through your Ferrari dealer unless you are a owner of a Ferrari Enzo. This key is EXTREMELY HARD to get and its HIGHLY COLLECTABLE. This is also a GREAT GIFT idea for all Ferrari enthusiasts! SUPPLIES ARE LIMITED! " Which this above statement is a complete lie, While on the Paupers Run in Las Vegas, we all stopped at the Wynn and I purchased 3 keys for less then 200.00 each. When I asked the Manager of the Dealership if these keys were NOT available via the Ferrari Dealer, he stated that there a ton of these keys available and that he could ship them to me via truck loads. So anyone that wants a ENZO key, your better off getting it from the dealer as its cheaper then what Jimmy540i would sell it to you for, and if your dealewr cant get them for what ever reason, I have a stash here!! -a
I also purchased a key from Wynn (Silver 612 key) and was told the same thing. I had already purchased a red one from an authorized dealer for about $215. The Wynn price was outstanding.
i wouldn't say its a scam.... lots of other dealers love to overcharge and pull your leg.... but it is distortion of the facts....
Hehe. On the bright side, it's only $50 more expensive than a stay at Exoticosa Nostra's deluxe suite!
besides, i'm sure there's suckers willing to pay the $300 for it... so with a willing sucker, is it still a scam? after all, they did consent....
Then what is with this statement he claims ?? "This item is not available through your Ferrari dealer unless you are a owner of a Ferrari Enzo." Here it is in the post.. -a Image Unavailable, Please Login
Well hell then I have a hand built F360 built by ENZO that s isnt available thru the dealership... -a
In defense for Jimmy, I don't think he has done anything wrong. He wants to sell them, and you aren't going to say, "oh you can get them some where else for cheaper than what I am charging." That is really how I see. If someone sees his listing, and hasn't done the proper research, then they might buy his key(s).
Those that buy keys for cars that they don't own deserve to pay a little extra. I can't understand why someone would buy a key for a car that they don't own, just to have. Takes a special kind of person, I guess. If he can get suckers to pay 900.00 for a lousy car key, the more power to him. Art
I collect car keys. I think they are beautiful. It is also a kind of motivation for me. I have the key to a ferrari, some day this key will be used to open the door to my ferrari.
do you collect razor blades too? they can be beautiful... and some day said razor will be used to cleave off the unibrow!
But again remeber I informed him I was a Fchatter, and I know he has seen my post etc, as we have conversed on the forum. The fact is , these Keys are NOT " "ENZO Specific" and they are available to anyone that can go to a dealership... The statement of "that they are not available tends to lead someone to think that this item is not obtainable" which would start to be fraud, etc.. Regardless of doing your research, if the information you are supplied with is intended to misguide you and your decisoions are based on that infrormation, it is a fraudulant transaction or lets leave it at Gross Missrepresentatoin... -a
