I've always admired the Delorean. No - it sure as heck isn't fast, but it does have a very interesting look and IS an incredibly comfortable vehicle. If they were cheaper and got a bit better gas mileage - I'd buy one for my mom... and borrow it now and again.

There's a red painted Delorean up on ebay:

I noticed in his first picture that there's a Lamborghini Espada in quite a gorgeous pale blue. Maybe it is just me, but both cars strike me as really really cool. If only there were a glimpse of something like a Volvo P1800 in the picture - I'd go out just to shake the sellers hand!

Good friend of mine has 3 Deloreans. One is red with a turbo (supercharger?) cant remember which.

While its no beast its fast enough to be fun and more comfortable than my benz E55.

    Great car.

A few months ago, this guy had for sale the tackiest Mondial ever -- there is probably reference to it in the cheap 3X8 for sale thread. The seller had about ten cars, one of which was that Espada, for sale, and on all of them he had stuck on fake air scoops, spoilers, and stickers, in his words, "to make it more exotic". Among the cars he had done this to were the Espada, DeLorean, Mondial, Lancia Scorpion, Lotus Esprit Turbo, an Alfa Romeo, and a few other exotic or near-exotic cars of the 70s-80s. Take a look at his Chrysler TC Maserati for sale -- check out the hood scoops; he had that kind of stuff plus little decals stuck on all of his cars.
